Naomi Neville is an Associate at Shoosmiths and works from and heads up the Wealth Protection Team in the Solent office.

Naomi has a strong eye for detail and an ability to understand and apply complex technical knowledge in order to find creative solutions for clients. These characteristics have led to her growing reputation for the provision of trust advice to corporate clients, the most recent example of this being provision of advice on effective trustee delegation to a large national pension provider.

When working for individuals, Naomi works predominantly for those with high net worth providing advice to business owners, directors, property owners, entrepreneurs, and also those who have inherited wealth and Camelot Lottery winners following large windfall payments. Naomi has empathy and builds trust easily with private clients, adapting her working style appropriately with each individual, understanding their personal goals and any complexity surrounding family circumstances. Using these skills Naomi assists her clients with estate and tax planning, advising regarding Wills, lifetime giving (including the use of suitable specialist trust structures) and on the preparation of lasting powers of attorney (for personal and business matters) with an holistic approach to meet the client need.

Naomi is building experience in advising non-domiciled individuals regarding the succession of their UK estates, and has a developing expertise in advising individuals with assets in multiple jurisdictions.

Having completed a Masters degree in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, Naomi undertook her subsequent legal training at the College of Law in Guildford (passing her Legal Practice Course with distinction) before qualifying as a solicitor with regional firm Dutton Gregory LLP in 2007. Naomi joined Shoosmiths in 2014 following a period as partner at a Hampshire firm.

Naomi is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, having completed the STEP Diploma (with distinction) in 2012. She is also an active member of the professional group Solicitors for the Elderly and a member of the Law Society's Private Client Section.

When not at work, Naomi enjoys singing, reading, cooking (and eating), and spending time with her family and friends.
