Shoosmiths punches above its weight in top customer awards

The residential property conveyancing arm of national law firm Shoosmiths has been highly commended in customer service awards entered by some of the UKs leading companies.
Shoosmiths’ direct conveyancing service was highly commended in the National Customer Service Awards, where the finalists included EDF Energy and Punch Taverns.Shoosmiths faced 30 other entries in the Customer Service Team of the Year General Companies category. The awards attracted a total of almost 1,000 entries and Shoosmiths scored highest amongst law firm entries.
In the seven judging categories Shoosmiths scored top marks (4/4) in six of them: best practice, behaviour, creativity and innovation, ethics and results; and 3/4 in the engaging people category.
In their benchmark report, the judges said Shoosmiths’ creativity and innovation: “...shows commitment to the overall customer care policy, and constantly strives to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty through implementing new ideas and developments...”
Partner and head of direct conveyancing David Parton said: “This is a highly valued result for us. To secure highly commended recognition against leading Blue Chip companies is remarkable, but not so surprising to me, conscious of the level of service our team continues to consistently deliver, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback we receive from clients and estate agents.
“We’ll now use the feedback we received from the judges to make the service even better, and target receiving an award next year.”
The National Customer Service Awards are the largest in the customer service industry, and aimed at UK and international companies that have customer service delivery at the core of their strategy. Past winners include Vodafone, Procter & Gamble, and Yorkshire Water. Sponsors in 2008 are Honda, Royal Bank of Scotland, and British Gas.
The awards will be presented at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, in September.
