New recruit swells Lender Services ranks

Shoosmiths’ Lender Services team has added a new lawyer to its ranks.

Associate Fiona Hayles joins the national law firm from Wragge & Co.

Fiona will work in Lender Services’ Birmingham team, formed earlier this year when partner Joanne Davis and her team joined Shoosmiths from BPE Solicitors.

She brings with her broad experience of handling complex mortgage and asset finance recoveries and related litigation for a wide range of lenders. Fiona has also managed penalty charge claim portfolios for clients.

A successful headline case of Fiona’s – Caterpillar Financial Services (UK) Ltd v Goldcrest Plant and Groundworks & Others went to the Court of Appeal. Issues raised in the case included validity of guarantees and incorporation of terms.
