Shoosmiths wins HMV Group property work

The High Street's leading entertainment and books retailer has appointed Shoosmiths to provide advice on property acquisition, management and disposal, as well as on property disputes.

Shoosmiths joins several other law firms on HMV Group’s legal panel.

HMV Group includes 565 HMV and Waterstone’s stores across the UK, Northern Ireland and Eire – including Europe’s biggest entertainment store at HMV Oxford Street, and the largest book store in Europe at Waterstone’s Piccadilly.

Property partner Michael Higgin and property litigation partner Libby Shirtcliffe will lead Shoosmiths’ account team, which boasts planning, tax and construction specialists.
