03 September 2008

Former colleagues Sara Hunt and Kathryn Turner are working together again, boosting Shoosmiths’ expanding personal injury and clinical negligence, in Birmingham.

Sara and Kathryn, who previously worked together at Sheffield firm Ashton Morton Slack LLP, have moved to the Midlands to join the national law firm.

Sara, who will lead the Birmingham personal injury team, said: “I’m thrilled to be working with Kathryn again.

“Shoosmiths is a progressive firm committed to ensuring clients’ claims are dealt with sensitively and efficiently.  Being approachable as well as doing a good job for clients is key, and is something Kathryn and I pride ourselves’ on.”

Kathryn, who joins the clinical negligence team led by partner Richard Follis, said: “He has an excellent reputation, and I’m delighted to be part of the growing team. Clinical negligence cases can be extremely hard for the victims and their families, and getting specialist legal advice is essential.”

Sara, a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and who is on the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, has a specialist interest in asbestos-related claims. Kathryn, who worked as an auxiliary nurse whilst training as a solicitor, is also an APIL member.
