Shoosmiths' office angel

Nottingham-based legal PA Marie Mann is celebrating after being named as a regional winner of the Office Angel PA National Awards.

Marie, a Nottingham Trent Law School Graduate, was chosen for showing great initiative and going the extra mile in her role at law firm Shoosmiths.

Her dedication, which has been noticed by her colleagues who nominated her as well as the firm's clients, includes additional voluntary responsibilities as an office first aider and an IT help assistant.

Marie's manager, associate Michelle Stephenson commented:  "Despite joining the team just over 12 months ago, Marie has quickly become an integral part of the team here at Shoosmiths by not only managing the work of two very busy fee earners but also taking on additional demanding and important roles within the firm.  Marie also recently undertook the organisation of an important large scale property deeds audit project, including picking up most of the scheduling and the return of approx. 300 sets of deeds.  She really went the extra mile to ensure the project was kept on schedule, which has really impressed the client."

The award is in its 11th year and is intended to reflect the growing number of PAs who have increased responsibility and commitment and overall recognition to the important role that they play within an organisation.

Marie is one of seven regional finalists for the national award which is to be held in London on Thursday 11th September, with a champagne reception at The Ivy.
