Shoosmiths attends Limbless Association’s 25th anniversary

03 November 2008

A solicitor from national law firm Shoosmiths has attended the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Limbless Association, held at the House of Lords.

Basingstoke-based personal injury associate Nichola Pitman enjoyed presentations by Baroness Tonge, the House of Lords spokesperson for health and Zafar Khan, Chair of the Limbless Association UK.

The Limbless Association provides information and advice and support for people of all ages who are without one or more limbs. It has a nationwide network of volunteer visitors (within the UK) who are all amputees themselves, offering support and encouragement to prospective amputees, carers and those already trying to come to terms with limb loss or deficiency.

Nichola said: “Suffering from a traumatic amputation is a life changing injury, and the advice and support provided by the Limbless Association is invaluable to those who are affected by such injury.

“I was proud to be part of the Limbless Association's 25th anniversary celebrations and will continue to support their excellent work in assisting those who have suffered amputation.”
