New arrival is evidence of Shoosmiths private client growth
28 January 2008
Northamptonshire private client lawyer Susan Sorrie has joined national law firm Shoosmiths.
Well known for her private client work in the county, the trust and estate practitioner will advise on wills, tax, estate administration, and elderly client law.
Susan enjoys a loyal following among clients, and receives recommendations from charities, accountants and independent financial advisers.
She moved to England from Australia in 1987, joining Northampton law firm Tollers in 1997, where she set up and ran its private client department. Susan chairs seminars on matters including inheritance tax and elderly client law, and is a regular on BBC Radio Northampton phone-ins, offering advice on wills and probate.
Susan is a Thesis member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Shoosmiths partner and private client department head Trevor George said: “Susan is hugely experienced and a great addition to the team. She will continue its reputation for thinking outside the box to create solutions to issues which are practical, and not just based on theoretical law.”
Susan’s appointment is evidence of rapid growth in the private client team, which includes the arrival at Shoosmiths’ Milton Keynes office of solicitor Kerri Woodrow.
