The Best Trainer - National/Large Regional Firm award recognises the specialist training programme and ongoing support Shoosmiths' offers its employees. The win is a result of an extensive yearly survey of trainee and newly qualified solicitors.

The firm was also presented with the Commendation for Diversity 2015 by judging panel Kura Dione from Rare and Chris White, founder of Aspiring Solicitors. They described Shoosmiths as 'a firm that has diversity at the very centre of what it does'.

The award wins follow Shoosmiths' recent success in the Top Companies for Graduates to Work For list, which is compiled by The JobCrowd - underpinning its reputation for being the best graduate employer in the UK's legal sector.

Shoosmiths ranked third among law firms, scoring 4.3 out of a maximum five, in the rankings which are described by The Times as giving graduate recruits 'a chance to speak their minds'. The award puts Shoosmiths high in the list amongst companies Volkswagen Group UK, TUI Group and HSBC.

Samantha Hope, Shoosmiths' graduate recruitment manager, commented: 'We recognise that diversity in law will be ongoing and that our continued success depends on our people and their talent, ambition and creativity. Therefore we actively seek and support people who have the talent and potential to help us thrive. It's great to be recognised as a leader in the market, and the best accolade of all is when your own trainees praise the quality of training and support they receive in the lead up to qualification and beyond.'

These awards come hot on the heels of the news that Shoosmiths is one of 300 top employers that students most want to work for this year. Shoosmiths ranked 175 in the Guardian UK 300 - a list of the top 300 employers based on the largest independent survey of students in the UK.

This fantastic set of results follow the success of 2014 when Shoosmiths collected awards which included Best Trainer - National/Large Regional Firm 2014 by LawCareers.net, Top Law Firm 2014 by The Job Crowd, Best Graduate Employer 2015 by Legal Week, and Top Law Firm and Best for Job Satisfaction 2014-2015 by www.allaboutschoolleavers.co.uk.
