Law firm Shoosmiths has significantly grown its national asset finance practice with a total of five lawyers leaving DWF in Manchester and Birmingham to join the award winning Shoosmiths team.
The new head of Shoosmiths' Financial Services team in Manchester, Janet Dalton, and associates Suzanne Taylor and Aleea Bhatoo will join in Manchester, and partner, Roger Potgieter and solicitor Charlotte Healey will join the team in Birmingham.
Roger returns to his role as a partner at Shoosmiths, having spent time at Cobbetts and at DWF.. Roger specialises in recoveries, general litigation and advice for auto finance and asset finance clients, and will continue to focus on this at Shoosmiths, whilst also assisting Partner Mel Chell to manage and grow the recoveries team
Janet joins Shoosmiths having lead a non-contentious asset finance team at DWF, based in Manchester. Janet advises on all aspects of non-contentious asset finance work, including transactional and regulatory work and will continue to do so as part of a larger, Manchester based, team at Shoosmiths.

Aleea Bhatoo rejoins as an associate at Shoosmiths with six years' PQE. Aleea was a senior solicitor at DWF and advises banks, finance houses, lessors and owners in consumer credit, financial regulatory work and a range of work in relation to vehicle and other equipment funding, specialising in credit advertising, motor vehicle finance and FCA Compliance.
Suzanne also joins as an associate having been senior solicitor at DWF, with three years' PQE. Suzanne advises clients on asset finance and financial services regulation.
Charlotte Healey joins as a solicitor in the asset finance recoveries team, specialising in motor finance and general asset finance litigation. Charlotte was a senior solicitor at DWF and has three years' PQE.
