National law firm Shoosmiths has scored its best ever tally of tier one rankings than ever before in this year's Legal 500 directory.
Shoosmiths CEO, Claire Rowe, says the results are an 'outstanding success' and underlines increasing third-party recognition of the firm in line with its growth strategy.
In the 2014 Legal 500 directory, Shoosmiths UK-wide rankings rose significantly, with the firm being given top tier recognition in 29 practice areas, with a further 60 practice areas recommended. Top tier rankings are up by 11% year on year, with 19% of the firm's submissions recording a rise up the tables.
A total of 31% of Shoosmiths' teams are now ranked as tier one across the UK.
In addition to this, 13 partners of the firm are listed in the publication's elite "leading individuals" list.
Legal 500 rankings are an important third-party reference guide to the legal sector across the country. Its thorough research of all law firms means it is trusted and used by fellow legal practitioners such as General Counsel (GC) of many of the top FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, journalists, students and the wider business community.
Shoosmiths works with many household name, blue chip companies, leading financial institutions, public and private sector organisations and foreign-owned corporates across the country and, increasingly, internationally too.
Shoosmiths' CEO, Claire Rowe, said: 'The Legal 500 directory is an important reference tool used by business people up and down the country. Its independent, research-based rankings chime well with those who commission legal services as well as the wider business community.
'This year's results are an outstanding success for Shoosmiths. The firm has increased its number of tier one rankings from 26 to 29 in the face of intense competition, and with another additional 60 areas of recommendation that makes 89 recommended practice areas in total across all of our offices in the UK.
'Overall, this is all a terrific reflection on the hard work of our teams and on our ambition to become the national law firm of choice.'
