Shoosmiths has been recognised as a 'highly commended employer' by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
The national law firm received the special mention after entering the 2012 CILEx Employer of the Year Medal.
Its submission stated: "Shoosmiths actively supports and encourages staff to study the CILEx qualification. Once qualified, there are no bars to career progression."
Shoosmiths has 25 chartered legal executives, and around 40 staff training to achieve the standard.
CILEx is the professional body representing 22,000 of them in the UK, and is recognised in England and Wales as one of the three approved regulators of the legal profession.
One of its aims is to provide support to those registered or studying with the Institute, and who provide legal services in England and Wales or elsewhere.
Shoosmiths head of learning and development Caroline White-Robinson said: "We're proud to celebrate when staff pass CILEx exams or are admitted as Fellows.
"And part of our intranet - called ShooLEX - is where students and members can discuss issues, share news and successes, and tell others about the benefits of CILEx."
