Shoosmiths has seen 32% of its submissions move up in the latest legal rankings published by Chambers UK.
The national law firm's highlights in the 2013 edition of the respected legal directory see employment, IT and pensions teams in Milton Keynes moving up into band one; along with environment (Northampton); banking and finance (Southampton); and banking litigation (Manchester).
And its corporate practice group has consolidated its top band status, with seven of its 15 submissions being ranked higher, making it the best performing Shoosmiths practice group in the new edition.
Partner and Manchester head of office Harold Brako went straight into banking litigation's top band for individuals.
Also ranked in a top band is associate Hayley Saunders, an environment specialist in Shoosmiths' regulatory practice.
Shoosmiths' private client practice went from unranked to the number one band in Northampton, as did the Nottingham competition team.
Chief executive Claire Rowe said: "These encouraging results will help boost our growth strategy, and certainly reflect the consistently high quality service Shoosmiths' legal advisers are providing for clients."
The corporate practice group's excellent Chambers UK showing comes on the back of superb 2011 results in the highly regarded Corpfin league tables, which placed it in the UK top five for volume of deals done.
