What does working in FM involve?

The FM team covers the following areas:

  • Health and safety (H&S) – all aspects of H&S are proactively managed and we won a ROSPA Gold Award in 2006.
  • Office premises – the firm works out of seven offices at present and has a larger property portfolio. The team manages all aspects of property management from procurement to rent, rates and utilisation.
  • Facilities management – the list of responsibilities is too long to reproduce here, but suffice to say it covers building structure, décor, furniture, repair and maintenance, catering, car parks, landscaping and of course………….loos!
  • Front of house – including reception, switchboard and security.
  • Office moves – the firm has had many significant office moves of late including new premises in Birmingham, Reading and Northampton, and extensive expansion in Milton Keynes and Solent.  The project management that sits behind these moves is well rehearsed and extremely effective.
  • Environment – we take our responsibilites for maintaining the environment very seriously and work hard to recycle, buy sensibly and dispose of our assets in a proactive and thoughtful way.
