Working in a large and highly successful national law firm ('A Top 50 Firm To Watch', according to The Lawyer), you'll be exposed to the pressures of delivering legal excellence to high profile clients . We have an open-plan environment so you'll be fully supported at all times by the team: we have a naturally high level of inter-team communication and have frequent team meetings. Every member of our team is valued, recognised and appreciated. Career progression and continuous professional development are vitally important to us, and this is reflected in our bi-monthly in-house training days. These will develop your legal knowledge and skills and are an opportunity to socialise with team members from other locations.

Fee-earners are encouraged to take on personal responsibility for their own career development and so 'signing up' for training is crucial. We also emphasise client-focused training, and everyone is encouraged to get involved and learn from these sessions.

You may have the opportunity to be seconded to one of our clients. For example, in 2006, Clare Lawes (5 years PQE) from our corporate team spent four months with a major bank.

Not only is this a great service for our clients - they get dedicated commercial advice – but it also really benefits our secondees, helping them become more commercially-minded and giving them a better understanding of their clients' business needs.
