The commercial property team consists of over 100 lawyers in six locations. Everyone is member of two teams: one close-knit team in their office and a second much larger team consisting of the whole department. Cross-location teams regularly work together on larger transactions, particularly in our retail, corporate support and residential development teams. Practice groups ensure that lawyers carrying out the same work in different offices have a forum to share experience, ideas and knowledge.
Our lawyers also receive support from other departments on the more specialist aspects of transactions including corporate, employment, regulatory, tax, dispute resolution and commercial matters. There is also a well established team of professional support lawyers to provide the team with the tools and information required to carry out its job as effectively as possible.
We value the views of our clients and employees, as demonstrated by our client relationship management programme, and by undertaking 360-degree appraisals of our partners.
We are all innovative users of technology, and in 2007 will start using a new document management system which will enhance and facilitate the collaborative working that already takes place. Other systems, such as our client relationship management system enables us to "talk" about our clients and contacts and to coordinate business development initiatives.
However, we don't just get together to work - a department wide training programme ensures consistent learning as well as also the opportunity to meet and socialise whatever stage you are at in your career.
