Paralegal - Catastrophic Injury

With the growth of Access Legal from Shoosmiths we now require an ambitious paralegal to join our growing Catastrophic Injury department.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Catastrophic Injury Department in Basingstoke.
The catastrophic team specialises in a large range of serious injury and catastrophic injury claims mainly as a result of RTAs, but also as a result of employer's liability and public liability.
Cases include:- fatal accidents, brain injury, SCI, amputations, multiple fractures, pain syndrome and more.
We are looking to appoint a Paralegal who will provide support to the case handlers in the Department.
This is an ideal opportunity for somebody with a legal qualification, excellent research ability and typing skills. The tasks will be many and varied as you will be assisting case handlers with their case loads.
Job responsibilities will include:-
Organising conferences with counsel and experts and attending where necessary to take full notes.·
Legal research.
Drafting basic court papers (with supervision).
Identifying suitable experts and liaising with the same.
A range of legal tasks to assist case handlers generally in the running of claims.
Candidates must also have strong proven telephone skills and demonstrate the confidence to deal with people at all levels.
