Contracts & partnering
When it comes to contractual relationships, robust agreements are essential to protect your organisation – and to ensure the best outcome for your customers.
You will benefit from our experience when it comes to advising you on the drafting of contracts, licences and maintenance agreements.
This track record includes advising on co-operation agreements, joint ventures, special projects as well as funding arrangements and development consortiums. For example, we have assisted the Housing Corporation on the drafting of a model management agreement for use by housing associations across the country.
Our procurement team can help you at every step with contracts, including high value purchasing such as for IT, hardware, outsourcing and consultancy and those involving private sector partnerships. We are one of the few firms with experience of e-government issues. We have a core team with expertise in PFI and PPP projects, and can advise not only procuring authorities, but consortia, funders, operating and SPV companies and specialist sub-contractors.
We can advise on shared service facilities and recently advised Northamptonshire County Council and Cambridgeshire County Council who entered into a groundbreaking multi-million pound agreement with Fujitsu Services for an IT platform which will enable the two Councils to share back office transactional services. The move, which is expected to provide significant savings over the life of the contract, is believed to be one of the largest between two County Councils in recent years.
If a contract dispute does arise, our dispute resolution lawyers can help manage the resolution process and minimize your exposure to risk.
