Three joiners take corporate team into double figures

23 September 2008

Shoosmiths’ Nottingham corporate finance team has reached double figures with the recruitment of three new young lawyers.

Kelly Prestidge, Martin Larkman and Adam Gilbert bring strength in depth to the national law firm’s corporate capability in the region.

Prestidge joins from Nottingham firm Geldards, Larkman from the London office of international firm SJ Berwin, and Gilbert from Leicester’s Harvey Ingram.

They join a now 10-strong team headed by partners Peter Seary and Chris Garnett.

Garnett said: “We’re delighted to have recruited three exceptional young lawyers, and their appointment demonstrates our commitment to growing the corporate team in Nottingham, even in the current economic climate.

“I think it’s testament to Shoosmiths’ growing reputation that we’re able to attract lawyers of this quality who want to make their careers with us.”

The Nottingham corporate team recently advised the shareholders of Derbyshire-based SRS Holdings Limited on the £6m sale of the company and associated overseas subsidiaries. It also acted for the controlling shareholder of Nottingham-based engineering and environmental consultants BWB Consulting on its sale to its management team.
