Health and Safety
Our 7-lawyer health & safety team brings a wealth of experience to clients faced with criminal and civil repercussions of regulatory issues, acting on matters across the country. The team is highly regarded nationally and is described by clients as having "enormous depth of regulatory experience”.
We handle fatal accidents and serious injury matters, representing public and private sector clients in prosecutions and civil claims brought by all regulatory authorities including accident investigation work, preparation and reviewing management reports and recommendations and assisting in writing policies and undertaking risk assessments.
We have an excellent working relationship with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and enforcement authorities. We are retained to prosecute on behalf of the HSE in complex matters in a number of geographical areas, enabling us to give clients the benefit of our insight.
We advise many food manufacturers as well as hotels and restaurants on food safety issues including food labelling and hygiene investigations.
Accident prevention and pro-active health & safety management is a legal requirement but should also be high on the agenda for management in any organisation. We offer consultative services to identify and manage business risk and disaster/crisis management. You can also choose from a full range of courses designed to relate to the issues identified as highest risk in your working environment and specialist short courses to meet specific company needs.
The team is advising clients on the implications of The Corporate Manslaughter Act introduced on 6 April 2008.Search the site
