Private equity

Our team handles leveraged deals for private equity houses and banks. Private equity transactions (also known as venture capital) finance transactions from investment funds established specifically for investment in private companies. In 2006 approximately £34 billion of private equity funding was raised by members of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

We have a highly experienced team used to advising private equity houses, management teams and the banks providing additional debt funding on private equity transactions.

Recently, our team have advised on numerous private equity backed transactions including advising management on the private equity backed MBO of Avocet Hardware Limited from Masco Corporation, Inc, Catapult Venture Managers on its equity investment in Synchro Limited, Lloyds Development Capital on its equity investment in BigHand Limited and management on a part exit and part buyout with Zeus Private Equity.
