Judicial review
The use of judicial review is an essential tool in protecting businesses from government and industry regulators that act unlawfully or unfairly or indeed, outside their constitutional remit.
While we do act for a number of public sector bodies, we do also have experience advising companies wishing to challenge decisions made by government ministers and departments, industry regulators and local authorities.
As a firm, we also understand the pressure that can be exerted by regulators on your business in highly regulated commercial sectors and we are there to help you to try to ensure that you get a fair deal.
We are dedicated to your commercial success. Where judicial review is the most appropriate route to achieving your goals, we will guide you through the process to ensure the best possible outcome.
We recently acted on behalf of the designer of a prototype vessel intended by the Ministry of Defence to replace some of its Destroyers. This culminated in judicial review proceedings against the Ministry of Defence over its decision not to proceed with the prototype but to continue with their existing Destroyers.
