£50,000 settlement for car passenger

Mrs T suffered a serious whiplash injury and subsequently developed fibromyalgia.
What we did
Shoosmiths obtained medical evidence which proved a causal link between the client’s accident and the subsequent development of fibromyalgia
We also obtained compensation for the injuries Mrs T sustained together with her financial losses including past and future loss of earnings following her ill health retirement and subsequent employment on reduced hours and pension loss
Background
Mrs T was a front seat passenger in a vehicle that was hit from behind by another vehicle. Following the accident she was off work for a number of months and subsequently retired on ill health grounds as she was unable to return to her pre-accident role. She sought alternative employment elsewhere but on much reduced hours with a resultant drop in income.
