David joined Shoosmiths in 1991 and became a partner in 1997.
He is Head of Shoosmiths' Northampton Office and looks after over 500 staff in that location. He is also an experienced property solicitor and continues to serve client’s personally with their property needs, typically on complex and high value property transactions.
He has national responsibility for Shoosmiths’ Private Client Conveyancing service, managing teams in Northampton, Solent, Manchester and Edinburgh which combined comprise over 125 specialists. This national team have most probably helped more people move home across England and Scotland in the last ten years than any other law firm.
David accredits the department's successful growth to the combined talents of all of our people delivering on the firm's values:

Recommendations and instructions come from a range of sources including a leading consumer organisation, national estate agency groups, successful independent estate agents, innovative lenders, specialist developers, intermediaries, charities and also from the office of the Treasury Solicitor.
Growth is also derived from strong recommendations and endorsements from satisfied clients. In 2011 Shoosmiths became the largest law firm accredited with the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and continues to be re-accredited annually.
Interests outside of work include family, music, and a wide range of sporting pursuits.
