Emily deals with all aspects of non-contentious commercial property work and has particular experience advising clients in the retail, telecommunications, rail and pensions sectors.
Emily's recent experience includes advising:
- a leading telecommunications retailer in relation to the management of their extensive commercial property portfolio. This has included advising in relation to the acquisition and subsequent disposal of a store on London's Oxford Street;
- a major train manufacturer in relation to the real estate aspects of the Intercity Express Programme and the acquisition of a train manufacturing depot;
- national pension funds in the management of their property portfolios. This includes representing both Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) and Small Self Administered Scheme (SSAS) providers.
Emily has a degree in History from the University of Nottingham and obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course. She qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and joined Shoosmiths in November 2011. Prior to joining Shoosmiths, Emily practised at Trethowans LLP, where she completed her training contract.
