Emma is a Solicitor in the Corporate team based in the Solent office.
She advises on a wide range of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals, private equity transactions, group re-organisations, investments, corporate governance and compliance issues.
Emma works with a variety of clients including equity investors, private companies, management teams and owner managed businesses.
Recent transactions include:
· acting for the shareholders of Rex Features, the largest independently owned photographic press agency in Europe, on their $33m sale to Shutterstock Inc.;
· advising KBC Advanced Technologies plc on their acquisition of FEESA Ltd, a leading UK-based provider of specialised software and services to the upstream oil and gas industry, for a value of £11.2m;
· advising LDC on its investment to support the £17.8m management buyout of GMG Property Services; and
· acting for the shareholders of Kondor Limited on the buyout backed by H.I.G. Capital.
Emma studied law at the University of Reading before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford. She joined Shoosmiths as a Trainee in 2011 and qualified into the Corporate team in September 2013.
