With over 19 years experience in financial services, Jenny works in the Recoveries Services Group, the leading national recoveries team. Jenny acts for lending institutions providing mortgage litigation and rehabilitation services, specialising in defended/complex mortgage proceedings, professional negligence and rectification of title.
Jenny has a particular interest in cases involving vulnerable adults, especially those with mental health issues. Jenny is the vulnerable adults and mental health coordinator for the group and has been instrumental in setting up the relevant policies and procedures within Shoosmiths and also in conjunction with clients. Jenny is responsible for organising all internal training in this area. Jenny frequently gives external presentations and training on best practice in resolving disputes involving vulnerable adults and/ or individuals who have mental health issues.
Having graduated with both an LLB (Hons) and LLM, Jenny undertook her training contract with Addleshaw Goddard and qualified in 1996 into the Banks and Building Societies Litigation department. Subsequently Jenny spent time with Yorkshire Building Society before joining HSBC Holdings plc in 2000 where she worked in the Group Legal Litigation department for seven years. In 2007, Jenny joined the Commercial Division of Nationwide Building Society before joining Shoosmiths in 2008.
