Peter became Chairman of Shoosmiths in May 2015. He is accustomed to working at board level and advising directors on the best tactics to achieve their strategic aims.
His insights into, and understanding of, people, business culture and motivation make him ideally placed to help Shoosmiths realise its vision to become the leading UK law firm, differentiated for its client experience.
What clients want from their law firm is changing and Peter’s role is to ensure that this is mirrored precisely in the way that the firm’s legal teams are developed and supported in future, creating a sustained and authentic point of difference for Shoosmiths in a competitive legal market.
Peter remains a practicing employment lawyer advising predominantly corporate clients where he can use his extensive experience advising on boardroom disputes, large-scale business restructuring, collective issues and other strategic advice. Peter joined Shoosmiths in 2004, becoming a partner the following year. Prior to that Peter trained and qualified with Eversheds in London and also spent six years at the international law firm Baker & McKenzie.
