I joined Shoosmiths in September 2015 to grow the Court of Protection team in Birmingham. I previously worked and trained at Irwin Mitchell. I specialise in Court of Protection work with a focus on Property and Financial Affairs. My expertise include deputyship applications for both professional and lay deputies, all aspects of ongoing management, statutory will and gift applications as well as preparation and management of Personal Injury Trusts
My clients include individuals with acquired brain injuries, mental illness, learning difficulties, and degenerative diseases such as dementia. I have a specific interest in working with children and young adults, she works closely with families through the early stages of development to involve multi-disciplinary support networks to maximize potential at an early stage. A significant proportion of my clients have suffered from catastrophic brain injuries at birth. I work closely with the Clinical negligence and serious injury teams, supporting my clients through the litigation process and guiding them into some form of normality once this has concluded.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking and eating Italian food as well as travelling and running.
