Rubina is an associate in the insurance litigation and regulatory team within the commercial department, handling insurance related claims relating primarily to Health & Safety issues.
With experience in dealing with both employers and public liability claims on behalf of Defendants, Rubina also represents the Health & Safety Executive in prosecutions and trains HSE Inspectors on health and safety law. She acts for public bodies in a wide range of cases including claims for abuse in care, failure to educate and, additionally, advises the police in relation to civil claims against them, including accidents during training. Rubina regularly deals with cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal and acted in a landmark case in the House of Lords on the PUWER Regulations in 2009 on behalf of a Local Authority.
Rubina qualified in 1985 and became an associate in 1992.
