Members of our Real Estate team, Jessica Ready, principal associate and Karen Howard, partner recently provided advice to property investment company Almacantar.
Our real estate legal experts advised on an innovative change in using the commercial space adjacent to one of London’s first skyscrapers, Centre Point.
Recently refurbished for retail and restaurant use, Almacantar has now converted some of the commercial space at Centre Point into high quality offices designed for collaborative working. And Japanese construction group Kajima just signed the first office letting for more than 5,000 square feet as its new European headquarters, with the deal being completed during the first UK pandemic lockdown.
Jessica Ready said: “We were very pleased to advise Almacantar on this letting. It’s exciting to see a company in the real estate sector adapt so quickly to changing needs in the market to meet the shift in demand from retail to office space in London.”
Centre Point is an iconic Grade II listed building in London that has more than 41,000 square feet of commercial space and a public square at the base of its tower.
