Anna has built an impressive reputation as one of the go-to finance lawyers in Yorkshire. She will work closely with corporate partner James Foster and restructuring and insolvency partner Lemi McAuley to build a market-leading private equity, banking and restructuring offering in Leeds and the North East.

Anna – who joins the firm from DLA Piper - brings extensive experience in leveraged finance transactions and will work closely with the national banking team to develop its leveraged finance offering and support the fast-growing national private equity practice.

With a wealth of venture debt experience, principally advising US funds, Anna will also work closely with the firm’s national venture capital team to support their start-up and fast-growth tech company clients with their venture debt needs.

Rebecca Mauleverer, head of Shoosmiths’ banking practice, said: “We are delighted that Anna has chosen to join our leading national banking practice. Her contribution to the team will significantly strengthen, not only our Leeds presence, but also our national PE and VC offering.”

Also joining the Leeds banking team to work with Anna is associate Kat Acott. Kat joins from Allen & Overy.
