Chambers highlights Shoosmiths as go-to firm for high net worth individuals

The Shoosmiths wealth protection team has been recognised for its work in advising their clients on a range of matters including bespoke tax efficient succession planning, family investment companies, trusts and inheritance disputes, in this year’s Chambers & Partners High Net Worth Guide. 

Four lawyers from across the firm have been singled out for their expertise in various specialist areas of Private Wealth Law and Private Wealth Disputes.

Charlotte Dunn
, a legal director and head of the firm’s Wealth Protection team, has been ranked again as a Band 1 leading individual for Private Wealth Law. The independent directory interviewee says of Charlotte: “Charlotte Dunn is considered to be "very good" “and she is noted for advising affluent individuals and families on Wills, trusts and probate matters.

Shoosmiths also achieved a Band 1 ranking for Private Wealth Law - Milton Keynes and Surrounds.

Trusts and estate planning specialist Melissa Maple has been ranked for the first time as a leading individual within Private Wealth Law Thames Valley at Band 3. Chambers comments include: "What makes her stand out is her ability to take legal jargon and make it quite accessible," says an interviewee, adding: "She is highly technical and her knowledge is unsurpassed."

Sarah Cairns has been recognised as an Associate to Watch, for her work in Private Wealth law in the Birmingham and surrounds. She is described as: "very professional, efficient and provides good advice,” excellent at explaining the process, patient and also good at dealing with elderly people," notes an impressed client, who continues: "She has dealt with all of the paperwork promptly and is always available if I have any questions or need advice."

Adam Draper who specialises in contentious trusts and probate matters has been ranked as a Band 1 leading individual within Private Wealth Law North West - Private Wealth Disputes North West. The Chambers review states: "Adam Draper is absolutely brilliant; I cannot fault him in any way," comments a source. Another says: "He is knowledgeable, committed and understands negotiation. He will go the extra mile for the client."
