National law firm Shoosmiths has advised its long-term client Hallam Land Management on the multi-million pound sale of land which will be used to build around 100 homes in Leeds, together with a new primary school and associated infrastructure.
The land, together with the benefit of outline planning permission, was purchased by Barratt David Wilson Homes, for a much-needed development in the Adel area.
Shoosmiths real estate partner Thomas Hall led on the deal, with support from senior associate David Goy, as well as support from the Shoosmiths tax team, including Daniel Kennedy, partner, and Sara Mardell, senior associate. Both Tom and David are based in Shoosmiths' Manchester office.
Tom said: "This represents an important residential development for Leeds and is part of the city's vision for growth. We are pleased to have been able to advise Hallam on this complex deal which had to take into account existing land agreements, multiple landowners and important infrastructure considerations."
