Shoosmiths makes waves by advising on the sale of Radio Forth's home

National law firm Shoosmiths has advised a leading Swedish bank, on its multi-million loan to Thistle Property Group to acquire office buildings Forth House and Playfair House.

The offices are situated close to the St James development. The former is let in its entirety to Radio Forth and the latter to various other occupiers, was sold from Property investment advisor London and Oriental (L&O) for £4.5million.

Shoosmiths senior associate Sheelagh Cooley led on the deal, with support from the real estate team, including trainee solicitor Chloe Shields.

Sheelagh said: "It was a pleasure to assist a major high street lender in its dealings with Thistle on this occasion. We were aware that there was a lot of interest in these buildings and it was crucial to deliver clear and concise advice within a tight timescale."
