Shoosmiths celebrates Scottish law awards success

UK-wide law firm Shoosmiths has underlined its increasing presence and success in Scotland after scooping the Debt Recovery Team of the Year accolade at The Herald Law Awards of Scotland 2019.

It is the 4th consecutive year that the litigation and recoveries team in the Edinburgh office of UK law firm Shoosmiths has won the coveted award.

Andrew Foyle, solicitor advocate and partner in litigation and debt recoveries for Shoosmiths, said: “We are delighted to have been named Debt Recovery Team of the Year for the fourth consecutive time in The Herald Law Awards of Scotland.

“It is a phenomenal achievement and I believe it is testament to the hard work and quality of advice being consistently delivered by the whole team to our valued clients.  This result further underlines our ambition to be recognised as the leading dispute resolution practice in Scotland.”

Janette Speed, real estate partner and head of Shoosmiths in Scotland, added: “As a business, we are very proud to have scooped the Debt Recovery Team of the Year accolade for the 4th consecutive time and to have been finalists in the Law Firm of the Year and Real Estate Team of the Year categories.

“As an innovative and dynamic UK-wide law firm, this recognition further underlines the level of sector specific expertise and quality of service we offer a broad and growing client base in Scotland.

“The award and being named finalist in two further categories reflects our notable achievements over the past 12 months, during which we have increased our footprint with the opening of a location in Glasgow city centre and added to our head count within a highly competitive Scottish legal sector.”
