Private equity experts at UK law firm Shoosmiths have advised nGAGE, one of the country’s biggest privately owned recruitment groups, on its acquisition of Henlow Recruitment Group.

nGAGE has invested in Henlow, a QuantTech recruitment business which operates in the UK, Europe, USA and Middle East, to enable it to grow its presence in international markets.

nGAGE is backed by private equity company Graphite Capital.

Corporate partner Sean Wright led on the transaction, with support from senior associate Nina Smith, solicitor Adam Leszczynski, and paralegal Juliane Kallas. Assistance was provided on the employment side by partner Paula Rome and senior associate Claire Ball, with assistance across the board on due diligence.

nGAGE group CFO Andrew Burchall said: “The team at Shoosmiths has been excellent, completely unphased by the tight turnaround and the need to ensure quality advice throughout.

“This acquisition represents a major milestone for nGAGE. With our firepower behind Henlow, we are in no doubt that it will deliver on its promise to grow strongly in the coming years.”

Sean Wright said: “Working with nGAGE, Henlow, and Graphite Capital has been a pleasure and we will of course watch Henlow’s progress with interest.

“Once again, the team’s experience and expertise in the private equity field has shone through, especially in its ability to act on complex transactions quickly but without compromising the client service we pride ourselves on.”
