National law firm Shoosmiths has scooped two awards from a top graduate recruitment website specialising in legal jobs, courses and advice for prospective lawyers.
The graduate advice website, All About Law, announced Shoosmiths as the winner of the categories top law firm for training contracts and vacation schemes 2014-2015 and top for best job satisfaction from training contract, at an awards ceremony on 29 September at The Orangery in London.
Trainee solicitors Kirsty Farmer and Elizabeth Ward collected the awards at the event along with head of recruitment Danielle Owens and recruitment officer Kristina Mulvihill.
Shoosmiths graduate recruitment manager, Samantha Hope, said: 'Our team work all year round to ensure Shoosmiths is recruiting the best talent of the next generation of lawyers. We are thrilled this hard work has been rewarded.
'We recognise that an increased amount of experience and training constitute what is needed to become a successful lawyer today. We always strive to offer our candidates and employees the best possible environment to grow.'
A spokesperson from All About Law said: 'Shoosmiths' performance in the AllAboutLaw.co.uk 2014-15 rankings and awards was outstanding to say the least.
'Winners of two categories, including the showpiece award of 'Top Law Firm', and finalists in seven others, Shoosmiths' claim that their 'focus on people, relationships and results has defined its achievements' is a well-founded one indeed.
'Feedback on their training contract and vacation scheme revealed that Shoosmiths own employees believe 'team relationship' and 'company culture' to be the best things about each programme.'
Shoosmiths graduate recruitment team is hosting numerous open evenings across the firm in January and will be attending law careers fairs across the UK in the winter season. The firm also offers universities the opportunity to request the team to present at skills events.
