Knowledgemotion - founded in 2013 - created boclips, a platform that enables education providers to easily find, license and use video clips that they can embed into their teaching services. Partnerships with leading international content owners including Getty Images, Bloomberg, BBC Worldwide Learning and Associated Press Television News provides boclips customers with access to a high-quality, rights-ready library of over 2 million video clips. This deep repository, now the largest video library for education in the world, provides a single point for all K-20, vocational, corporate and language learning video needs.

Shoosmiths' corporate partner, Rachel Turner, led the deal with corporate solicitors, Robert Pook and Gemma Porter assisting and partner, Tom Wilde, advising on tax.

David Rolfe, lead investment partner at NVM said: 'In the 21st century, the traditional model of teaching is being radically transformed by digital technology. Teaching and learning continues to change into an online, interactive experience. Recognising this, we chose to invest in Knowledgemotion to support growth in this rapidly changing sector.

'Rachel and the corporate team at Shoosmiths understand our business and have provided us with excellent, commercial advice throughout this transaction.'

Rachel Turner said: 'Investments that NVM undertake are always with innovative people and products that have the capacity to transform a sector. We look forward to seeing Knowledgemotion grow and working with NVM again.'
