National law firm Shoosmiths provided strategic advice to the management team of Hotel La Tour on the development and operation of the first Marco Pierre White, Mr White's English Chophouse franchise.

The four star hotel in Birmingham, renowned for its quality and attention to detail, will be inviting guests to dine in the first restaurant of its kind later this month, following a refurbishment of the hotel's dining space.

Shoosmiths technology, media and commercial team advised on the landmark franchise deal including providing advice regarding, and negotiating, the applicable heads of terms and restaurant branding agreement, as well as providing guidance on the relevant Brand Standards, Marketing Standards and Standard Operating Procedure Manual. Associate, Magdalena Konig, led the negotiations, overseen by partner David Jackson. The deal - which took less than 2 months to complete - was highly complex and the team worked hard to deliver results fast in a tight timeframe.
