A team of Shoosmiths legal specialists have provided advice to former CEO of Fitness First, Colin Waggett, for the launch of his new indoor cycling concept, Psycle London.
Shoosmiths' Angela Mildenhall and solicitor Sarah Waller (both real estate) led the team to help secure the first of a number of indoor cycling studios on Mortimer Street W1, in preparation for Psycle's official launch in February 2014.
Further expertise was provided by corporate specialist, solicitor Robert Pook.
Psycle's aim is to provide busy Londoners with the most enjoyable way to improve their total body fitness and stay healthy.
Psycle believes the barriers and rewards of exercise are psychological first, physical second.
The 'Psycle experience' combines signature total body workout on a bike, with playlists that have been carefully put together by a music consultant.
Mildenhall said: "This has been a very exciting project for us to have been involved with, especially as it's a 'first' for the UK's fitness industry.
"Our client has spent a great deal of time developing this new business concept and we're delighted to have been able to support him from the outset and provide the level of legal expertise needed to gain the best results."
Psycle founder Waggett commented: "Shoosmiths were a pleasure to work with.
"Each element of the Psycle concept has been carefully thought through and decided; I needed a legal team whose attention to detail reflected this and Shoosmiths didn't disappoint.
"Their legal expertise and ability to deliver exactly what was needed, every time and on time, has paid dividends. I look forward to working with them again in the future."
