National law firm Shoosmiths is celebrating after winning 'Property Law Firm of the Year' at the Thames Valley Property Awards.
To win the award Shoosmiths had to demonstrate commitment to its clients by delivering superb service and evidence technical legal expertise across complex deals.
Broadcaster, writer and former MP, Gyles Brandreth presented the award to real estate partner and head of real estate in Thames Valley, Alan Corcoran, at the ceremony hosted by The Business Magazine.
Commenting on the award win, Alan Corcoran said: 'This is a fantastic result for the Shoosmiths team, reflecting excellent deals, strong client relationships developed over many years and key recruitment coupled with internal promotions over the last 12 months. We work alongside our clients and their other professional advisors creating a strong team approach and are very grateful for their support in winning this award.'
This award win is the latest accolade that the firm has received this year - recently, the firm was crowned Law Firm of the Year at the Thames Valley Deal Awards. The Thames Valley real estate team has also been acknowledged by legal directories Chambers and Partners for its 'substantial expertise in property-led banking, finance and recovery matters' and Legal 500 commends the excellent service provided to real estate clients.
Shoosmiths' real estate group is one of the largest in the UK, made up of teams advising on real estate, construction, planning and property litigation. Shoosmiths' clients include commercial and residential developers, investors, retail and leisure operators, social housing bodies, major corporate occupiers, banks and other funders and a range of public sector bodies.
