Shoosmiths wealth protection team was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Private Client Awards 2015 in the large legal team of the year category.
The team's work was recognised at the awards ceremony which took place in the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel on 8 September 2015. The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by dinner and the awards themselves culminating in the ever popular After Party event.
Charlotte Dunn, partner and national head of the wealth protection team expressed her satisfaction at being one of the five finalists:
'Our congratulations go to all winners, but simply to have been chosen as a finalist at this year's STEP awards was very satisfying for the team. STEP membership is the benchmark of quality for any practitioner and to be short listed for these prestigious awards was a confirmation of the expertise we have within the team and a real recognition of the quality of work we undertake for our clients.'
The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners is the worldwide professional association for those advising both individuals and families across generations. It promotes best practice and professional integrity for all its membership, which is achieved following rigorous assessment.
STEP members are required to abide by the STEP Code of Professional Conduct, which sets out the key ethical and professional standards a member should uphold. Today there are over 20,000 STEP members across 95 countries including lawyers, accountants and other trust and estate specialists.
Now in their 10th year, the prestigious STEP Private Client Awards are decided by a panel of independent judges supported by experts drawn from internationally renowned solicitors, lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, barristers and trust companies.
