Belfast colleagues donate £300 worth of much needed essential items to Women’s Aid, Belfast

Rachel McNeice, Belfast trainee case handler and office lead CR champion explains how the Belfast office has been supporting W.omen’s Aid, Belfast recently

Each Friday we all drop £1 in our charity box and once we have reached £300.00 we each put a charity of our choice in a hat. For our latest choice an impartial party chose Women’s Aid at random.

Andrea Barkley our office manager called our local Women’s Aid charity to see how they would like to receive the donation and they advised that if we could arrange to buy essentials like towels, shampoos, toothbrushes and deodorants etc., it would be very much welcomed!

The items in the pictures attached are a small example of what we will be arranging to be delivered to Women’s Aid- there are five more bags of essential items that are still to be sorted out!

Women’s Aid are doing undoubtedly brilliant work making sure women and children are safe. As some women, often with children, have to leave their domestic situation with very little notice, these everyday items that we often take for granted will be put in a pack for those in need and given out as required. We imagine they will go a long way in helping women getting back on their feet.
