Shoosmiths has published its 2020 United Nations (UN) Global Compact Annual Report which provides an annual progress report on 10 principles related to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest global corporate citizenship initiative and it aims to mobilise a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want.Our report on progress and plans includes a statement by our chief executive Simon Boss and chairman Peter Duff re-affirming Shoosmiths’ commitment to the 10 principles.
The report reinforces that our 2019/2022 strategy recognises that a responsible business remains an important part of what Shoosmiths stands for.
Whilst the report is broad in scope we are particularly keen in 2020 to progress the establishment of a Shoosmiths Foundation, make a meaningful contribution to social mobility and to advance our business response to a carbon neutral future.
