Shoosmiths wins two awards at the 2016 Northamptonshire Law Society Awards

Shoosmiths was delighted to be presented with two awards at the 2016 Northamptonshire Law Society Dinner and Awards on Friday 23 September 2016

We were awarded :

Northamptonshire Large Law Firm of the Year. Our entry included details of our approach to training, to staff welfare and development, diversity and our contribution to the community, including legal advice provided on a pro bono basis.

Ahsan Khan, in our Recoveries Service Group won Young Lawyer of the Year. One of Ahsan’s responsibilities is the co-ordination of the monthly pro bono clinic we operate with Citizens Advice Central and East Northamptonshire and the University of Northampton School of Law. Ahsan has also taken part in a reading coaching scheme for primary school children and has acted as a mentor on Shoosmiths mentoring scheme in conjunction with the University of Northampton.

We were also delighted that Amy Leech, law graduate at University of Northampton, currently working two days a week in our Recoveries Services Group, a future Shoosmiths trainee , and a volunteer with the pro bono clinic, won the Academic Prize reflecting her consistently excellent performance and results.
