Yoga arrives in the Milton Keynes office

Continuing to support our people with their wellbeing, we are now offering lunchtime Yoga sessions in the Milton Keynes office. Lorraine Hall, the PA in the Corporate team, qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2018 and was very happy to offer her services to help support the wellbeing of her colleagues.

Making use of some unused office space two lunchtimes a week, everyone is welcome to attend to take some time out of their day for themselves. Working in law is a notorious stressful environment at times, but by offering Yoga within the office it is helping to give people the opportunity to escape from their working day without too much effort or disruption.

Yoga is a very personal practice and it offers everyone the chance to clear their minds and connect in with their body and their breath, which has a positive effect on reducing stress levels and helping maintain physical and mental wellbeing.

People are taking part whether they’ve never stepped onto a yoga mat before or are an experienced practitioner, but everyone is having a positive experience:

“Was really nice to get back into this, I’m someone who enjoys connecting with the mindful aspect of yoga and it was pitched well for me. Will be back for more next week!”

“Thank you for putting it on. I really enjoyed it and am feeling nicely limber now. Looking forward to the next session.”

“I enjoyed it – I feel a bit too relaxed this afternoon though I must say. I think it went too quickly my only thing would be could we look to extend the length of the classes as time goes on? Of course that’s completely dependent on you and everyone else as I understand it’s a lunch break.”

Thank you for my first ever yoga session today. I thought it was great. Your teaching method was very good and I’d be happy to come along twice a week.
