Ellis is an investment, petroleum, retail and leisure specialist with vast experience. He undertakes complex project work, particularly involving logistics facilities, large sheds, retail parks and petroleum portfolios. 

Trusted as relationship partner by international, national and institutional clients, Ellis is well known for his legal acumen, commercial nous and ability to get straight to the point.

Recognised as a leading individual by Chambers Legal Directory and Legal 500, Ellis has had numerous articles published in legal journals and publications including The Property Law Journal, and, on occasion he appears as a guest lecturer at Nottingham Trent University.

On a commercial level, Ellis has a blend of experience at C-Suite having sat on the Board at a previous firm and undertaken rewarding NED roles outside of law. He currently sits as an elected member of the partnership council at Shoosmiths LLP

Outside of work Ellis has always been a very keen sportsman and musician. He won a scholarship to study at The Royal College of Music, London, where he enjoyed four years at 'junior college' before moving on to study law at university. He currently holds an ERCA (level 2) rugby coaching qualification and spends his spare time coaching at Nottingham Corsairs Rugby Club
