Hannah is a solicitor in the Corporate Restructuring and Advisory team in Shoosmiths’ Manchester office. Hannah deals with all legal aspects of restructuring and insolvency relating to both contentious and non-contentious matters. Hannah regularly advises a variety of clients including banks, insolvency practitioners, companies, directors and creditors on all aspects of the insolvency process.

Hannah’s non-contentious work includes advising insolvency practitioners on all aspects arising from their appointment, advising on disposals and acquisitions of businesses and assets out of administration and administrative receivership, as well as advising major banks, asset based lenders and other lenders in connection with reviewing security documentation and structures and preparing court applications for insolvency related matters.  

Hannah’s contentious work includes advising directors on director disqualification proceedings and advising insolvency practitioners and directors on misfeasance, antecedent transactions and directors’ duties claims.

Hannah has assisted on a number of high profile administrations including, ASA Resource Group PLC, Oddbins, Monarch Aircraft Engineering, Manchester House and Artisan. Hannah has also been involved in a number of retail CVAs (Aldo, Supercuts and Select Fashions).

Hannah has recently finished a 6 month secondment with Santander UK Plc.

Hannah completed her training contract at Shoosmiths and joined the team on qualification in September 2016.
