James has over five years’ experience specialising in employment law and qualified as a solicitor in July 2018. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters including discrimination, employment contracts, employment status, holiday pay, settlement agreements, unfair dismissal and working time.
James is also able to provide training to HR officers, managers and employees on a variety of employment law areas.
Recent highlights include:
- delivering training on bullying and harassment to over a 100 managers and employees of an international company, over several days at a number of locations across the country;
- responding to a variety of employment tribunal claims including complex discrimination claims;
- advising on the compensation of a high value worker status claim where the employer's liability could potentially date back over ten years; and
- reviewing service agreements for directors and chief executives.
Coming from a claimant and trade union background, James can approach claims from both sides and utilise this knowledge to his client’s advantage and makes him perfectly suited to advise both employers and individuals.
